DORMITORY HOUSING
Festival housing will be in dormitories on the beautiful Main Campus of the University of Houston, conveniently located about 20 minutes from the Houston Classical Guitar Festival and Competition at St. Philip Presbyterian Church in the Galleria area of Houston.
Housing in dorms (Cougar Village I and Cougar Village II) are suite-style facilities for double-occupancy rooms that share a bathroom. All 2-bedroom suites are furnished with extra-long twin beds, mini-refrigerator unit, desks, chairs, and dressers.
IMPORTANT: Linens are NOT included – bring your own pillow, sheets for extra-long twin beds, towels and perhaps a light blanket.

Two festival representatives will be staying at the dorms to assist all students and oversee any students ages 13-17. In order to remain compliant with Texas Education Code § 51.976, our two staff members will complete a state-approved training. Parents may also elect to stay at the dorm with their child.
Students without transportation will be paired with a student with a car or be transported by our staff to and from the festival venue.
Dormitory Costs
•4-person suite: $30/day
•2-person suite: $43/day
Must submit Festival Application with Housing Preference by April 22
50% deposit for room + parking required by April 30th
Balance due at Registration June 10th.

PARKING
Individual participants/staff must register their vehicles through the UH Parking portal. Instructions will be sent. Rates are per calendar day.
NOTE: Arriving on Sunday, June 9th and departing Sunday, June 10th is 8 calendar days, and the total will be $50.00.

MEALS
Monday thru Friday there is an option for meals at the “all-you-can-eat” Moody Dining Commons just across the street from Cougar I. If you like a full breakfast, this is very handy. Breakfast is served beginning at 7:30 am. We begin our mornings at the festival at 10 am to avoid rush-hour traffic. We usually eat lunch and dinner together or in groups at various places near the festival venue.
Sample Continental Breakfast: Hot cakes, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage patty, tater tots, oatmeal, fruit, pastry assortment and vegan options available.

+20% administration fee.
We contract separately with the company that runs the dining services at UH. You cannot opt out of dining commitment less than 30 days before the festival. Dining pass is purchased not less than 30 days before arrival. (Instructions to obtain Dining Pass to follow.)
FLYING TO HOUSTON
HOU (Houston Hobby Airport) is closest to UH campus.
IAH (George Bush Intercontinental Airport) is 30 miles north. Uber and Lyft will be more expensive.
If you will not have a car at the festival, we will pair you with another attendee to carpool to/from the venue each day.
